Make it Tex-Mex pizza night, any night of the week, with this 3-ingredient Trader Joe’s dinner hack! Cowboy Caviar may be a bit spicy for some, so feel free to swap in any other mild corn and black bean salsa.
Trader Joe’s Recipe: Cowboy Flatbread
20 MIN
Ingredients
- Trader Joe’s Sprouted Whole Grain Pizza Crust
- 3/4 cup Trader Joe’s Cowboy Caviar (sold in 13-oz jars)
- 1 1/2 cups Trader Joe’s Mexican Blend shredded cheese
- Optional: Diced avocado and chopped cilantro
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees (preheat a pizza stone, if you have one).
Spread Cowboy Caviar to cover flatbread in an even layer, leaving a 1-inch border along the edges. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake on pre-heated pizza stone (or on a pan) for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is crispy. Garnish with avocado and cilantro.
This was the best pizza crust hands down. I could put on thin sauce and pile mile high toppings…so delicious and even better reheated the next day. Follow the directions I cooked mine on a preheated pizza stone. The best ever in the world over doughy versions…I think it is a crime to discontinue such a winning crust. I am soooo disappointed. I’ve been told I am the best pizza maker in the world, and this crust wins over any dough version, thin, healthy, nutty and crispy thin deliciousness. As I said even better reheated the next day on top of the toaster or just the back folder over itself under the broiler to get the bottom of the crust crispy again.
